well to beat a wrx ur gonna need some more power even if u upgrade the handling... you might want new suspention, lighter and bigger rims, wider tires, strut bars, etc. but like i said... with all of that ur still gonna need a bit more hp unless you strip the whole car and get it to weight next to nothing

i like the old school hubcap's.

dub's are lame. its all about the hub.

suspension, more rubber on the ground, strut bars...

ghetto7o2azn pretty much sumed it up... more power or lighter car... or both.

i beat my friend's wrx (that he'd put 12,000 worth of mods into) in twisties in my *more or less* stock FC RX7.

you won't know how well u can do till u do it.

however... bigger rims = more top speed (well, bigger diameter n e way) wider = more tire on the ground = goooood

Or you could work on your driving skill, that could be #1. I dont think there is any real way to modify a suspension to be "better", theres only "different"

What about the handling would you change, figure out which part effects that...

(I could go another lifetime without hearing the word "twisties" again, its most often used by Initial D fanboys with underpowered cars who make up excuses for a loss in a drag race. JUST A JOKE )

Try getting your friend to AutoX with you, see who can get a better time. Keep it safe and dont go maurading around the "twisties" when oncomming traffic could suprise you, and the mother on the way home to her kid's birthday party...

also bigger rim = smaller tire wall = less fexibuility = better handling.. though it wont be a big difference but u dont see ne track cars with 14 inch rims do you

you need a diameter that sets the ride height correctly for the car, but you're right: less sidewall = less diflection, but there is a limit to how much rim you can put on a car before it hurts performance.

Re: how can i make the mk1 handle even better

Heh twisties.. that term comes from the badly translated initial d... english.

I got the first two volumes and they changed names, etc.. and supposingly first two are really good but rest is all massacred.

I hear the translators used non-sense car terms (as in not really car terms).. instead of saying corners they said twisties as well, etc... urgh so I feel discouraged to buy rest of volumes... even though I do have the entier series, movies, etc... On a totally off topic matter volume 4 anime is suppose to come in february in japan or something...
