How can make my 86 Bonneville theft-resistant?

Is there a quick 'n dirty way to temporarily disable an 1986 pontiac Bonneville so it can't be stolen as quickly? I've seen somebody start one without a key once, all it takes is a screwdriver and a willingness to do some damage to the steering column, and maybe 25 seconds (including popping the door lock without smashing the window).
I don't have theft insurance because the deductible is more than I paid for the ol' war-horse --- so if it goes, it's gone for good, and I want to avoid that. I've got "The Club", and I'm sure there are car thieves who are deterred by it, but I'm thinking maybe if I could pop a fuse out, or put a switch on a wire somewhere, it would be an additional layer-of-defense. I know this can easily be defeated but there are lots of thieves who will try to steal a car and if it doesn't go exactly as planned, really quickly, they'll just go look for another car that DOES'NT have a club or a cut-off switch --- it's virtually impossible to make a car theft-proof, but you CAN make it theft-resistant enough so that most thieves will find an easier target. I know about removing the distributor cap, but that's too much of a hassle to undo every time you want to drive somewhere. The situation is complicated by the fact that I have to park it where I can't see it from inside my suite.

Break into the fuel pump fuse wires and put a hidden toggle somewhere.

Maxwedge, I'm looking at the owner's maual showing the diagram for the fuse panel, and there's no fuse listed as being for 'fuel pump'. Number 10 fuse is for "ECM", though --- would it hurt anything or somehow cause any kind of undesirable side-effects if I were to pop the number 10 fuse out? That would stop the vehicle from being started, wouldn't it? Number 7 fuse is, "Crank Solenoid" --- that'd disable the starter motor only, correct? How about popping this one?

Auto_Trainee --- "Neutral Safety Switch" --- sounds like a switch that stops the car from being started unless it's in park or neutral (just a guess). I looked in the manual and there's nothing under "Neutral", and nothing under, "Safety ...". How would you use it to act as a disabler?
