Car horn won't work.....2001 New Beetle
About a month ago the horn quit working. When we set the remote alarm, the horn beeps as usual, but when you push the horn any other time the horn fails to work. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be, and how to fix it. We would rather fix it ourselves instead of the dealer. I sure hope someone has the answer to our problem. Hope to hear from someone about this issue!!!!! Thanks in advance.

Hi... have you gotten any help on this issue??
Our 2003 New Beetle is doing the same thing, and the local shop couldn't figure it out...

I reccomend replacing the low and high tone horns. VW horns are JUNK. Also make sure they are not pointing up when you replace them or they will fill with water and fail.
