98 Grand Caravan Horn won't work!?

The horn has been hooked up to a battery and the horn works but it won't work in the van. My husband has checked the fuses and taken apart the steering wheel to check the wires, but can't find the problem.

Also, the Air bag light is always on and the cruise has stopped working. I'm hoping they are all related but can't find the culprit yet. Any suggestions?

Take the car to the dealer, there is a clock spring in the steering wheel that has gone bad. There was a recall on the vehicle earlier and if the recall was not done the dealer should do the repairs at no cost if the van fall into that category. Check Recalls.gov to see if your van qualifies. Remember the air bags won't work or may not work properly if the air bag light is on so this is a safety issue.

Thank you so much for the info. I checked with the dealer and it is a recall, so I dropped the van off tonight. I'll let you know if the problem was fixed. We were going to drop it tonight to a shop that said it would be a minimum of $130 plus parts to fix. Thank you so much for the reply!

If it is a recall and it has not been previously fixed under the recall then Chrysler should pay the bill for you. The recall was issued by the manufacturer so it their responsibility to pay for the parts and labor. Don't let the dealer take you for the cost.
