Re: Mods done 2 the Century

I have a K&N filter in my 89. Didn't notice any power difference, but gas mileage went up a bit.

so what i did for the Cold Air is i ran a 2.5 inch PVC and mounted a K&N filter on it which is fed into the inner fender well. After removing the factory airbox i flipped the ECU vertically and have temporarily zip tied it to the coolant bottle. The origional air inlet duct into the fender has a plastic insert in the inner fender that is easily removed to fit the filter through.. it was a tight fit but it works.

Re: Mods done 2 the Century

Mine was a 2.5 inch. the filter that i bought was a K&N with a 2.5 inch inside diameter, and that used to be directly on my MAF. As far as i know the two should be the same

Re: Mods done 2 the Century

You know that thin metal strip in the middle of the the rear brake light of the 95 century? I pulled it off after people honked at me for not signaling my turn; they just didn't see the light (daytime) cause the bulb is right behind that strip. The adhesive holding it on comes off fairly easy.
I also exchanged the front seat for one from a minivan, much more comfortable for riding around all day to deliver mail in. 95 Buick Century, 230k

I have a panel K&N filt., want to build a cold air, plus Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 oil, autolite dual tip platinum spark plugs, Fram Gold oil filter, no rear muffler, and removed all sound deadening material, padding from trunk/under hood, no spare or jack. Lightly modded Civics, thunderbirds, new Ecotec saturns etc are passed by the 3.3 v6
