pls help! i want to turn off the traction assist on my 93 marquis. has anyone been able to do it? maybe just disconecting a wire to the comp? chip? hammer? can't take it anymore either the T/A goes or the car does pls help!

Pull your ABS fuses under the hood (2 big black square ones).
You're ABS won't work anymore, but you'll be able to do big smokey burnouts. But don't blame me when you wind up in a plowed field on a rainy night at 3:00am when you had to panick stop and the ABS won't work. That sucked.

Having the assist helps to pass emissions. They can't be tested on a dynamo. So, idle tests apply.

I had a 93 Ford Crown Vic with the traction control, hated it. But the ABS saved my tookass a couple times. I'd swap the t/c in a second for a good limited slip diff!!

I have a 94 grand marquis is there no way to put the limited slip in the rear and diable just the traction assist but yet keep the abs functional? also how many of these came with dual exhaust and where the stock gear ratio's ? thanks
