Arrow What your major/job?

We all here because modeling united us, and thanks to Igor we all can share tips and tricks, show off your work and so on.
But I'd like to know what is your day job? What are you making for living and buying more kits... ?

I'm CSR and Network Specialist.

I'm in the Air Force, I work in Supply, and I'm stationed at Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota... As much as I hate the winters here, they're the perfect excuse (not that I needed one) to work on my models because it's too cold outside to work on my real car

I'm a firefighter at the moment and I'll hopefully be an EMT soon (failed my final test by 2 points, so I have to retest). I'm not sure if I'm going to just be a regular EMT or if I'm going to join a Rescue Squad. Just have to wait and see.

Did you go to the school? If yes, for how long?

I work as a mechanic(trainee) at a local shop, and have been doing it since August. I do some other side business, such as writing reviews for Anime News Network, and am an author/poet, but my daily bread primarily comes from wrenching on cars.

I took an EMT course by night. It was a 120hr class, being 4 hrs 2 nights a week over a period of a couple months. It wasn't easy, but I'm giving it my best shot. The fire fighter courses vary state to state, but here the Level 1 fire fighter's course is usually 3 weekends, 10 hrs both days of straight training and learning. Then you have to be CPR certified (which is like a 1 hr class) and have a hazmat safety course (about a 6 hr class). Those are the bare minimum here. I'm planning on taking Level 1 and Level 2 Vehicle Extracation Courses, Brush Fire Training, and Swift Water Rescue hopefully within the year. It's a constant learning process. If your area has a volunteer fire department, I'd advise joining. Most will pay for your classes and training, plus it gives you an idea of if you like the field. Me...the adrenaline rush just cannot be replaced.
