new catback or new mufflers

howdy, jsut curious... yes im a teen so i have a tight budget, i was wondering, i want the flowmaster american thunder cat back but its a little steep in price and im not sure if i should just remove the stock mufflers or go w/ the cat back....if i keep my stock pipes but replace the mufflers w/ the 40 series will iget the same horse power increase as the flowmaster cat back... replies very much appreciated

The mufflers alone will give u very little increas in your horsepower. The catback will give u 5-10 horsepower I would guess. If I were you I would save up for the cat back then you get the sound and you get some performance gain.

I would just save up and by the Cat-back so much easier and more gain than just mufflers.

I you are set on flowmaster 40 series, then go to ebay and search "flowmaster 40". Buy it now price is about 37.00 a piece. With 2 flows and S&H, it will be a total of $91.97. Best price I've found on the net, or really anywhere.
