Catback or muffler?

With my '99 ram 1500 4x4 QC, should i go w/ a catback or just a muffler? Im looking for a deep rumble, thats significantly louder than stock. I realize a catback is alot more than a muffler would be, but would the gains be worth it? If i were to go w/ a muffler i would go w/ a Flowmaster 40 series, and im not sure what i would go w/ if i were to get a catback...what do u guys think i should do?

Re: Catback or muffler?

glass packs are a waste of money, over time they just turn into a straight pipe due to carbon filling the holes. If your even thinkin of glass packs just go with straight pipes instead.

Re: Catback or muffler?

And why just buy a muffler for sound, when you can spend a bit more and get sound and performance?

Why sounds like a badass and not be able to back it up? Go with something that will have a rumble to it but also give some HP numbers.
