please help!!! heat not working in my 88 hatch
hey guys.im new to this forum.i just wanna ask a question.
i recently swapped in a d16z6 in my 88 hatch and ever since the swap my heat hasnt been workin.air comes out of the vents but it doesnt get hot.if anyone can help me i would appreciate it. thanks ps.i already replaced the thermostat |

Not sure but you might try the heater core b/c the heater core just went out on my b/f's crx..it was blowing out air but it wasnt hot and thats what was wrong with his was the heater core.....
Just a thought

Do you have anitifreeze in your car, cause i had forgot to put some in mine, and a couple weeks ago i thought my heater was broke cause all it was doin was blowin out cold air, ounce i put antifreeze in it worked just fine.

yeah but if his heater core went wouldnt anti frezze be blowing through his vents.
happened on my 86 monte carlo ss. granted it is a very different car. |

i have antifreeze in the car.now the heater core is wat i have to check.can it have sumthin to do with the thermostat?i changed it yesterday and still no difference.where is the heater core located in the car?and thanks for ur help guys.

well the heater core could be blocked also. possibly the heater core valve could be bad, the cable could be broken also. hell the heater control itself could have went poof.
