After putting new faces on, gauges read funny...

I put new gauge faces on last week and today when I started the car (w/ new engine) the temperature one went way over half before it even had time to warm up and the gas one is way over a full tank. Did I do something wrong?

...it definitely sounds like you moved the needles while you were installing the gauge faces

I would let your car get to its normal temp and adjust the needle where it usually sits (half way or whatever)....and then maybe fill the tank and put the needle where it usually is...
