Just an idea...

I just stripped out my hatch(91 Si) And I started to think about puttin a set of front seats in the back. Anyone ever thought of trying that. Just didnt know how difficult it would be, or if even possible. Thanks. If its possible, anyone wanna sell some Si seats.

Re: Just an idea...

your gonna need short seats that stock fronts cause the rear seats is mounted close to a foot higher that the front seats. so if you put those in they woudl pretty much touch the roof.

Re: Just an idea...

i have no idea what kind of seats. i just know the rear seat mounting area is higher than the front seat mounting area so you would want a shorter seat...

Re: Just an idea...

I used an oem civic dx seat with chopped rails and shaved headrests....thats what I used....I re-upholstered them in tweed....so the shaved headrest made the seats look like some old 50's seats.....I matched those to the fronts. You need to take the rails off the seats.....chop the mount brackets off....then fabricate some new ones....I used 1" angle Iron.....then use a 2" flat stock bar to make a nice pretty lookin set of strong ass rails. It is more trouble than its worth....but its do-able.
