95 Talon ESI shuts off randomly

I have a 95 Talon ESI that loses power while driving. My RPMs go to zero and I get no repsonse from my gas pedal. Sometimes I can throw it in neutral and start right back up, sometimes it takes days to start again. Here's what I've tried so far (and spent way too much doing)

-new gaskets/seals on entire engine
-new belts (including timing)
-new computer (located near battery)
-spark plugs/wires
-vaccum hoses
-fuel pump/filter
-few electrical doo dads

As you can probably tell, I don't know a lot about cars or the names of things contained in them. I really love the car and want to get this problem worked out. Please help!!!

hmmm, you've tried almost everything that could give you the problem..i can't think of anything else that may give you this problem..does the car turn off/shut down while driving?

yes, it does shut down while driving. could it have anything to do with the wiring harness?

I had that happen to my car about three weeks ago and I found out that it was the crank angle sensor.
I had a minor wrack and about 2 weeks after the wreck my car started doing the same as yours. You would be driving and the engine would shut off. All electronics still workes but the motor turned off.
It started a few times after that then it stopped and I had to replace the sensor to fix it.
You have to take off the timing belt to do it so it is a good time to replace it too.

I did it myself, but I got a price from goodyear and they would do it for about $700.
