Eclipse shuts off randomly

So the other day Iwas driving home from work and my 95 eclipse just shut off. I thought maybe it was the weather change or something. Turned it back on and it was fine. Then over the next day it just started doing this a random times. You might be driving for 30 mins before it does it or for 5 mins. Sometimes it doesnt even want to start but when it does it will stay running, sitting. The check engine light doesnt come on and we have checked the spark and compression and fuel system and it all seems fine. We are thinking that is is the ECU but I would like to be a little more sur of that before I buy a new one. We tried opening it to check the caps last night but it is sealed. Is there a way to test them or does anyone have any of theories on what it could be??? Thanks

Re: Eclipse shuts off randomly

Get a new ECU. It's a common problem for the 420a. Happened to my RS a couple years ago.
