01 Tahoe shuts off randomly, help!
Hello, my ABS light is turning on and my truck turns off when I make a turn at a slow rate of speed. The wheel locks and the car shuts, but all the electrical gadgets still function (i.e., radio, CB, interior/exterior lights, etc.) Some say it is the alternator, I have already changed the battery but it still has this problem.
About the ABS light, I have to replace my rear driver side rotor but the two nuts holding the caliper bracket in place are extremely hard to loosen up. I pulled so hard my truck shifted on the jackstands, lol. Can somebody please enlightenment on an air tool I can use (or any tool for that matter), I am not to knowledgable on this subject. If other accessories are required with the air tool please let me know, thank you. |

I am having the same problem but my car does not shut off.
My battery Light, ABS Light, Brake Light and my Air Bag light will flash on then turn off. This just started happening. The gauges (Needles) went down then came back. Any thouhts on what this could be? |

I Would Make Sure That The Battery Connections Are Still Good. Have You Added An Amp, Or Anything Like That To The Battery. These Terminals Are Known For Coming Loose.i
Dont Know About The Abs. |

Hey there!!
I have the same problem with my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. Sounds to me like your truck is suffocating! If you haven't tried it yet: Clean the throttle body. Carb cleaner works the best, so far. It costs about 100 bucks to get it done...do it yourself and it costs the amount of the carb cleaner and the hour or so it takes to do it! Good luck. Quote:

If the ABS light is comming on you need to get it on a ABS capqable scanner and see what is going on.
If you get any codes post the back. On thee bolts a good long breaker bar or sometimes a cheater pipe will get them. Just push straight down and stay out of the road. They could snap off. Throw some pentrating oil on them and let sit for a while then hit them again. MT
