Talking Monogram Porsche 924 "euro" conversion

A while ago i got an old built Porsche 924 kit from my (wonderful) girfriend. it was sort of a mess, glued windows, thick hard enamel paint and so on, but since the 924 is missing from my collection i decided to restore it. after dissasembly i soaked the body in "Ajax", a powerful ammonia-based detergant. it worked out great, after two days the paint came off in sheets, like plastic foil. Idecited to go for a stock look, so a set of Hasegawa 944 wheels will be fitted, on selfmade brake discs. Now my girlfriend wants me to hug her, so i will let the pictures do the talking

I actally dont have a clue about that paint, but i was really thick and hard before the soaking. then it just came off. If i should guess i would say it was some kind of furniture laqer. By the way, great looking 510, those watnabes look super on it.

I've got one around in about the same shape.
I was going to put the body on the Italeri 944 chassis, but stopped when I realized I really wanted a 924s and It was going to be a ton of work.
