In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
Got my latest kit in the mail the other day, and i finally got into the package, it's a 1/24 Hasegawa AE101 Corolla Levin
![]() I only wish i knew more on the car, I considered a 3S-GTE front wheel drive conversion for the engine, but as of yet, i haven't found any proof that it could be possible. ![]() ![]() Looks like it will be an interesting build, but i really haven't set a straight plan for it at the moment ![]() ![]() Any input? |

Nice but rims look a bit too big for the car.

Yeah, the rims look a little too big on the car. I didn't know that Levin's came in that body style. Keep us posted on how the build progresses.

The link below has some pics of 3s-gte in a ae102 and a ae111, the cant see why you couldnt do it in a ae101.
3S-GTE Conversion Im just about to start Tamiya Celica 2000GT-R with a 3s-gte FWD conversion, the only realy inaccurate part will be the gearbox as it has the AWD transfer case on it but im not really game enough to modify it at the moment |

Re: Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
wheels are too big. How about some 18'', or 17'' rims. Ya know, it's a good thing I didn't buy this at my LHS today, I'd brought it back, can't stand FWD.

I say 'YES' to the 3S-GTE motor
BTW, I figured out that my Camry has a "3S-FE" motor...

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
Malcom, you got a camry??? Man, you need an 8-6. Even, the 1.6 sohc under powered SR5 and EX can pull a damn fine drift in the local wal-mart parking lot. Just watch out for the security guys on their 18 speed moutnain bikes!

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
Those aren't the wheels from the kit, those are from the Nismo wheels from the VSpec II, i'm going to use the wheels that came with the Corolla, but they were misplaced when I was taking the picture.

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
I would say sticks with the blacktop 4AGE, but with individual throttle bodies

Re: In Progress: Hasegawa AE101 Levin
I can't think of any kits with the 4AG, if there is one out there. Plus, this model is based on the 92-93 JTCC model, so i can't specify what engine the real thing contained
