b16 question

how can i know what generation my b16 is also what year and stuff ok here you go my engine block asay b16a no #'s after it just b16a and my head says 9/1 on it and my tranny is hydrolic? its all pieced together i think but wat year is the b16a block and when did hydrolic trannys come in?

hydro trannies started to be available in 92+ cars. if you have just a b16a, then on the head of the motor, near the 2nd or 3rd exhuast port is a round stamping with a number in it, thats the year of the motor.

91 is the year it was cast, mine is also a 91, but it came out of a 93 civic.

so how do i figure out if i have the jdm b16a with 170hp or the one with 160 hp? also how do i find out wich tranny i have? it doesnt have the badge on it anymore?

5,000,000 series = 170hp, if it is OBDI, then ya it is that one.

More than likely a Y21 tranny.
