Does anyone know how many valves a 2000 cavalier has with a 2.2 engine? Thanks, Allen

16 valves 4 per cyl two input and two output

is That Overhead cam or over head valve. The OHV engine has 8 Total 2 per cyl. The DOHC has 16.

while were on this topic, does anyone know the part number for the lifters on the 2.4L (LD9)??

I do not know The part # off of the top of my head If you were to call the Dealership near you (GM dealer) They could give you the Delco part #

yea i figured that, but i didnt really feel like doing that since i have no real plans on buying ne lifters when i do my cam swap, but i was just curious

Are you useing a New Cam? if so it would be very wise of you to use new lifters. If you are useing a used cam it would be wise to use the lifter that were with that cam. In the same places they were in. If not it could cause premature wear and could become coastly

yea ive have heard that. but most people who do the "Seceret Cam" swap say they didnt switch lifters and their cars are fine so i dont know. And i dont think the lifters from the 2.3 would fit the 2.4

I have no idea if its ohc or ohvalve. I really never heard of the over head valve but i just know its a 2.2l 4cylinder. Allen
