How many miles is too many to purchase a used ZX2?

I have a 2000 ZX2 which I bought new. My wife has always loved driving my car and she is now in need of another car. I found a 1998 semi-local (within 30 minutes) for $2,800, but it has 105,000 miles. Does anyone have an opinion as to how ZX2's are when they reach that kind of mileage? I have been trying to avoid cars with that many miles, but she is disabled and our resources are limited. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks for your input Josh. Unfortunately, it's a moot point now. I just talked to the owner and it was sold a while ago. Well, duh...mark it as sold then! LOL.

I actually have a line on another one for the wife. It's a 1999 and has auto, a/c, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, pw and pdl and has 101K on it. They want $3,795. Have to go and take a look at it.

Re: How many miles is too many to purchase a used ZX2?

I Bought my 2001 ZX2 three weeks or so ago and it had nothing done to it the whole time the one previous owner had it and she put 130,000 miles on it. The spark plugs were all rusted and everything. Since I have had it I have babied it with

Accel HP Coil
8.5 mm Spark plug wires
"Bosch 2" Platinum plugs
Transmission serviced
New brakes and rotors
Oil Change
Radiator flushed
New PVC Valve
New front O2 sensor
Fuel filter
Intake cleaned
Sensors cleaned
(And there is more but you really get the point right??)

The thing runs like a new car, to anyone who doesn't believe these are tough cars this little ride I bought proves they are. The thing has zip and punch. I'm really proud of the booger. I think it likes me to.

where do you find a repair manual for the 2001 zx2 so I can repair my own new-used car. I love my ford but I just had a check engine light and the o2 sensor cost me 303$. they wanted to charge me $90 for the fuel filter but I figure it can't be that hard. I want to be able to do my own stuff without paying for at least the simple items. My baby is in good shape, the engine is clean, and they brought up only minor issues during the diagnostics.
