problems closing my car door

I'm having problems with the passenger door on my 1990 mx-6. You have to slam it (hard) for it to close otherwise it will not close all the way. Any fixes?

I've had the exact same problem with my '90 MX6 this month. Are you in a cold place? My problem had to do with the latch freezing in the open position. After I drove around for a few minutes, the latch worked fine. Good luck!

Dont know, I have an 88 mx6 lx and I have always had to slam the passanger door. and that has been since 2000

gah, I have terrible door problems with my 94, lost a key 2 days ago, and every time i drop somebody off i have to reclose the door... it might be the cold, cuz the locks have frozen up a few times as well

My 93 did the same thing all winter long. Something inside the door freezes up and it won't open then when it does it won't close unless you pour hot water on it.
