Question Bypassing passlock

Is it possible to bypass the passlock on a 99 cavalier 2.2 so that you can get it started without having to pay the dealer the $300 plus he wants to replace my ignition cylinder and reprogram the alarm system. I see all sorts of bypass devices for remote starters, will they work as a permanent bypass??

I doubt it if you are having problems with the system as it is. Find out what the problem is and go online for the part. It would be very cheap to do yourself. Go to www.gmpartsdirect.com
