manual boost controller

I just purchased a manual boost conroller but haven't put it in yet. Can anyone tell me if they really make a difference. I plan on putting in my 1990 eagle talon tsi

yes it will make a difference, but you will also need a boost gauge to monitor what boost you are putting out so you dont hit fuel cut.

Definately get a boost gauge. DO NOT INSTALL WITHOUT A BOOST GAUGE! If you don't you will have no clue of what boost you are running because the stock one sucks! You will blow your car up without it. If you are going to start modding, get a high flow fuel pump and exhaust too. Hope that helps you out. Don't wanna see you blow your motor.
