Re: manual boost controller

will you elaborate? boost creep is caused by the wastegate not being able to expel gasses to keep the boost under control.

Re: manual boost controller

when your boost keeps going up and you can't do anything about it... the boost controller tells the wastegate actuator when to hold closed and when to open. the turbo xs brand has been known to cause boost creep in DSM's.

Re: manual boost controller

TurboXS will cause boost SPIKE, not creep. Two different things A MBC cant cause creep, unless it isnt telling the WG to open. Thats still not creep, but a F'ed up MBC. So boost will spike over your set boost for a short time then drop to set boost. Boost spike is a function of your WG or Boost controller not reacting fast enough to rising boost, cuasing the spike. A very fast spooling turbo like a 14b or t25 will aggrevate the situation.

Re: manual boost controller

To my knowledge the TurboXS ones are fine, but JoeP mbc works, and so does hallman.

Re: manual boost controller

Just hook it up properly, and start at the lowest setting (adjustment screw backed all the way out) and slowly turn it in until boost starts to rise. If you cant operate a MBC, you might as well sell the car
