Question Would you install bushings to a short shifter?

I thought they would help stiffen the shifter a bit or something. But one guy off ebay selling his says just reuse the OEM ones and don't waste your money on buying newer aftermarket ones.

Thoughts on this?

I bought some and i like them...it gives a stiffer yet smoother feel. but i guess some people dont like that.
