Red face Help Instructions on Installing a Short Shifter

Finally bought one that I liked (good price) and some Energy Suspenion bushings.

I know there was a site that had detailed instructions on installing a short shifter for 95-99 DSM's. However since I lost my boardband and now forced on dial up, and I can't seem to locate it now... (takes forever to load just a single page)

Well if someone has good instructions or a link to some, that would be very cool! Thanks in advance!

Below is a link for the installation of a B&M short shifter, should be the same for all.

Re: Re: Re: Help Instructions on Installing a Short Shifter

remember that 35% is really good enough, and at 50% you will miss 3rd more often untill you get used to it. i would recomend 35%to start, and after you drive on it for a while, if you feel the need, change it too 50%. it is only 20 minute project to change it. and in both settings your reverse lights may not always engage the way they should. have fun

What kind did you get, all of the ones i have seen have been too overpriced for me. I plan on cutting my stock one and re-welding it, and then getting the Symbroski shift kit from MachV.

I bought this one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2458746332

They start out @ $45 + $12 shipping, buy it now @ $55 + shipping... However people will bid on this item and buy it now will disappear and people will pay MORE than the buy it now price (lol).

So basically just message the seller and ask for a phone number. I called them up and got the buy it now price and received the shifter within a few days.

They claim it reduces the throw by 45-50%. And I'm no expert, but so far this shifter has been outstanding for me. Easy to put it into any gear (easier than stock), throws are super short and I never experienced any sort of problems to date. Probably have about 200 miles on it so far, and loving it.
