1997 Ram 1500 Trouble Code 31

Hi, My 1997 Ram 1500 check engine light came on and the computer gave me a 31 code which is "evap solenoid circuit problem". However, wouldn't you know it, the schematic in my Haynes manual doesn't cover this truck. The truck doesn't have an EGR system on it so the only thing the solenoid is controlling is the evap canister flow. Any ideas on the solenoid specs or troubleshooting it? I have about 1200 ohms across the connector when the key is on and the engine is cold with it showing 8.6 volts to the solenoid. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I have to go to the shop with it.
