02 Ram 1500 Trouble code P0308

I have an 02 Ram 1500 with a P0308 trouble code showing. Whem it came on the truck started studdering sort of like it is starved for fuel. I floor it and it usually smooths out. I researched the code and found that it is a Cylinder #8 misfire. My question is what does that mean. How can I fix it? Any help please! I really cant afford a mechanic right now and am usually pretty capable mechanically.

Could be something as simple as a spark plug or plug wire. For a couple of bucks it would be worth trying.

yeah i checked the #8 sparkplug and it was actually broken. A piece of the platinum had broke off. I had checked it earlier and didn't notice it.
Thanx
