Enzo - chris style!

Well here is the start of what i hope to be my finest model so far, i have had the kit for 6 months now waiting for my skills to catch up (and my studio 27 photo etch kit to arrive!).
and so it has started, im realy going to take my time on this kit, make each piece as perfect as i can. there is going to obviously be some of my own touches on the car as it wouldnt be one of my models if it didnt!

only planned aftermarket parts are the studio 27 stuff. there are some extremely fiddly bits and you have to plan plan plan before you even open up the box. i have studdied the manual for several hour working out the best way to spray the body and attach the many chrome grills from the studio 27 kit.

well i will let my pics so far speak for a bit.

Studio 27 photo etch kit (missing disc brakes)

Front wheel arch vent (studio 27 piece on left, tamiya molded on right)

Front and rear disc brakes

well i have just sprayed the engine block in alclad polished aluminium, now to me it looks more like cast aluminium with a darkwash, which is the effect i was after. looks good!
also put the first coat of a multi stage paint on the body pannels! wont let you see what it is till its perfect!

i always undercoat all things with black when using alclad paints. i used polished aluminium rather than chrome as i feel it looks better.

cheers joe for the photo etch set, i want one for every model i now make, especialy the skyline r34 kit! and the 350z!

photo etch seems to be the finishing touch to tamiyas (almost) perfect models

put it this way, the paint is gonna be much sicker than the 360! i plan on building several 360's and enzo's this year so candy blue is definately gonna be on one of them. i think candy blue challenge stradale with chrome rims maybe?
