Question Quality, Quiet Aftermarket exhausts?

I bought a Ractive Fireball "Cat-back" which turned out to be an Axle-back exhaust and is much louder than I would like. Although it isn't as loud as most exhausts out there, with 4 people in it, cruising down the freeway is annoying after about 20 minutes.

I'm looking for a nice-looking, quality, and most importantly quiet after-market exhaust. I'd prefer something with dual tips, but that's not 100% necessary. Any suggestions / tips would be MUCH appreciated. I've spent a lot of time looking for one and can't seem to settle on one. Feedback from owners of such exhausts would be great also.

I've been looking at the RS-R ExMag but with a $629 price tag it is a bit more than I want to spend. It is however, practically everything I want if what they say is true. They claim it to have the quietest exhaust note on the market.

well RS*R is a good exhaust so u get what u pay for. IF u want a sleeper lookin exhaust go wit RS*R. the tip is very small. Greddy is also a quality quiet exhaust. The Greddy EVO & SP are quality pieces.

Call me weak minded... I went for the RS*R ExMag. Not the ExMag GTII, just the ExMag because I think the black pipes and muffler with chrome tip looks just plain bad-ass. It wasn't cheap though. And considering I *JUST* put in a new B-Pipe, it was a very difficult decision (just as in 3 weeks ago). I spent a lot of time browsing around to find the cheapest price, and read some comments by owners about it and decided it was probably exactly what I'm looking for, although, still expensive.

I also decided to sell the Brembo rotors I had just purchased about a week ago too. This way to help lighten the load of justifying that I just spent nearly $500 on a new exhaust which is worth about $630. Combined with the fact that I spent $300 for my first exhaust plus $100 for the B-pipe. Plus, my current rotors are in decent shape and my exhaust needs to be replaced first.

Thanks for the comments F23ARacer750IL.

A pic of what the exhaust should look like.

I believe the GTII is completely stainless steel. I like the way the black looks though, it blends in nicely with the bottom of the car. I think I'm going to attempt the install myself. My friend that installed the B-pipe just did it not too long ago and I don't think he'd want to take it out and install something new, *again* lol.

Apex'i

I definitely recommend the Apex'i World Sport...I just installed mine a few weeks ago and I just can't get over the fact that it is so quiet. I barely notice the difference from stock tone while I'm driving. It is fairly noticeable from outside of the car, although nowhere near obnoxious. Nice, deep, quiet...everything I was looking for, and more. As for quality, it fits like a glove...and no problems so far. Definitely worth the 500 bucks I payed for it. The lowest prices I've found are at either www.nopionline.com or www.modacar.com.

Oh, and as for how it looks...

yeah I love it

That picture is sorta blurry though...not to mention it's at night. I'll have more later when I can find the time to take some during the day.
