I have a '95 gsx and am looking for a rebuildable engine for it. Will there be a difference between a manual engine and an automatic one? I sort of recall the automatic cars being a few hp less, but I've riced the car up enough that I doubt it'd make a difference anymore.

Im not sure, I cant remember to great, BUT.. I think the 2G autos have mostly the same parts as the 2g manuals.
Like on a 1G the difference between the two are, the turbos, the exhaust manifolds, and i "think" the intakes. But as far as motor internals they are both the same. Im sure someone can correct me if Im wrong on some things, or something..

Those differences do not apply to 2Gs. The motors are the same.
But to continue on that point. The 1g autos did come with the smaller 13g turbo. It happens to be a TDO4, not a TDO5 like the 14b through 20g (hybrid), with a different turbine inlet. Thats why the manifold is different. Thats the only motor difference I am aware of, aside from the cams. And as mention in both generations all internals etc are the same.
