SNIPER quick type ?'s regarding a 88' crx

wattup yall

I jus got an 88' crx converted to si spec's i guess or something like that.
Has a b18c engine on it, tachometer, exhuast n all that stuff

the car seems to run fine but does need some quick fixes, I was hoping yall could maybe help.....

1. I need to pass emmissions, it has no catalic converter what should i do?

2. needs fixes on things such mph gauges, it won't read how fast i'm going

3. the mileage on the car stopped, so how does one fix that, it stopped reading at 123k miles?

4. on the left front tire there is like a black sticky like substance leaking, somebody sed something bout replacing the "boot" what is that or how much am I lookin at right there?

5. also I have no front corner lenses on it WHERE is the best place to get them and how much?

thats it for now hopefully yall can help wit those and any other ones that come up

for you mph gauge and mileage problem. look on the back of your tranny and see if the cable is in there good. if it is check that the cable is pluged into the cluster.

The easiest way to pass emissions with no equipment is to put in a couple bottles of heet when you have about 1/4 tank of gas, then the car is running on mostly alcohol, just fill up after you get it tested. As for the boot, you'd be best off just to replace the whole axle on that side, but you'll need to find out exactly what axles you have, probably 90-93 integra axles. The cost is anywhere from $60 to $200 depending on if you do it yourself or have it done.

Amen to ebay clears. Mine got ripped off and I got a new set, $14 shipped. Hope that helps.

n yeah i think the guiy i bought it from sed something about a loose wire regarding the guages....

but I don't know how to look into that type of stuff am i better off takin it to a car shop or something? do they do these kind of repairs?


where can I obtain these haynes helms manual everyone talks about, helms is the best is it not?

i tried going on their site but it was a confusing process

I jus want the basic 88 crx manual that gives me the breakdown on my car

let me know yall

I agree. I bet that the speedo wire is not properly set in the tranny or possibly back of gauge cluster. Mess with it til it works.
