crank position sensor question????????????????

does anyone know the ill effects of a faulty crank position sensor. i am having problems starting my car when it is hot and among many other things a faulty crank position sensor was one of the suggestions. thanks....jason

Not sure if your car has one in the distributor along with the one located on the block near the crankshaft pulley. Maybe try disconnecting the one down by your crank pulley and see if it starts. Think I read somewhere that it will start..
Have you done all the regular items cap, rotor, wires, plugs? Maybe fuel pump relay.
