K&N filter helping out a bit

santa brought me a K&N filter for my newly acquired 02 malibu. i always thought these filters were nothing but placebo add-ons for those easily parted with their money. it seems i was wrong. i feel smoother and quicker pickup on the low rpm's, and my gas mileage has increased by approx 10%...around 30 miles extra per tank. pretty spiffy.

was hell to install the filter seal though. not much room to move around the filter assembly.

I also found a nice difference when I installed my K&N filter. I put in the 9" cone filter rather than the drop in. Looks better under the hood. If you want better gas mileage go get a K&N. Mine is part # RE-0920
