i'm trying to soup-up my '90 corolla sedan LE and i was wondering what i can do to get max horse power!!! The only thing i've done to it other than light's and shit is 2 1/4' cat-back exhaust with dual tip ractive muffler. i'm looking in either into cold air intake, or headers back for my next addition, but i was wondering if there's something i'm not thinking of. If you could help me out i be very greatful..thanx a lot!!!!

I had a 91 sedan before, and the engine 4A-FE is a DOHC engine but it has only 1 sprocket like SOHC. For a header, Pacesetter is your only chance.Timing is a key for hp, and though the engine is DOHC, having 1 timing sprocket limits the mods. Try the Honda D16A8 86-89 Integra motor. that will be cheap, but may require custom work.

Thumbs up thanx

I never thought of a motor swap, how much would say a honda B16a8 run me. Also i was thinking of putting in like a custom stage three turbo but i'm not too sure if i want to drop that much cash if it isn't going to add a whole bunch HP. Any idea as to how much it might add??? Also I "found" a spoiler, fiberglass, single wing, shopping cart style (pretty tall) kind of an ugly yellow but painting it isn't much of a problem if any one is interested, 50$

P.S. anything i can try and help u guys/gals with??

D16A8, not B16A8 , the B16A1 will cost too much. The D16A8 is the
1986-89 Honda Integra motor. These have 113hp(86-87)118hp(88-89)
They are DOHC and redline at 7500 r/min. They will be super cheap, as
long as you buy the whole Integra(a wrecked one) it could be as little as
50 bucks, or up to 400.

dropping a turbo in your 4afe engine will limit your boost level, be sure to upgrade ur internals first before droppin a turbo in it. 4afe blocks cant handle much boost

try Procarparts.com and ebay there are intakes lowering springs and some other stuff also check out www.NOPIONLINE.com they have all sorts or stuff. i wouldnt even try with a honda swap. different trannsmission different ECE and all that stuff. You could get a longblock but then youd have to buy all the other shit. definitely not worth it not very much performance unless you start tinkering with that. my 90 rolla is pretty quick with intake exhaust and a few other goodys. someone said something about fuel injectors you wouldnt need them till you get a lot mor power but 86.5-92 Supra injectors slide right in. Lots of Toyotas stuff can be swapped among cars. If you really wanted a motor swap get a 7afe or newer corolla engine. more aftermarket stuff.
