Re: which is better short ram or cai
i think there basically the same. cai might get a u a little extra hp boost cause its getting colder air. but overall i think its basically the same thing

in terms of safety, a WAI is better than a CAI. but for power, a properly designed CAI will be significantly better than a WAI.

Re: which is better short ram or cai
Basicaly, w/ a SRI, u sacrafice a fragment of the HP gain(warmer air in the engine bay) in exchange for quicker throttle response(shorter path for the air to travel from filter to throttle body). You'll recieve noticeable gains from either one........they both have their own advantages.

Re: which is better short ram or cai
In cold wet weather, go with a ram intake. No chance of hydrolocking and the air in the engine compartment is colder anyway. If you live in a hot dry climate get a CAI. It will draw air from outside of the engine compartment. Of course, if you hit a deep puddle wrong, you'll hyrdolock. As far as raw HP, they should both yeild about the same gains. On a tiburon, that should be about 14 horses.

thats why the aem bypass valve is a must with CAIs.
