suspension issues...
Im about to get somethin off ebay for 355.00 bucks...so i just wanna get some "x-pert" points of view =P.
There Tokico BLue HP shocks with springs (1.75 drop), full set...4 shocks, 4 springs... is it worth it?? Will my ride ACTUALLY be smoother...launches better...handlin better...and is 1.75 drop good enough?? i was lookin at the sol today...and it just looked goofy with stock height...never noticed it before...i guess my mind was tryin to visualize it lower... |

you can get it for that price about anywhere. i used tokico blue and skunk2 springs for a 2" drop and it looks great with 17s. also had to correct camber, so you might want to think about that.

Re: suspension issues...
your handling should improve a bit, as there is less room for air to get under the car. Your ride might be a bit rougher, but that always happens when you lower it. Launches... eh.. depends on how good you are. 1.75 is a pretty decent drop. The springs I'm getting are adjustable coilovers (skunk2) that adjust from 1.5" to 2.75". The 2.75" drop is an actual noticeable drop. Even people who don't know a del Sol from a miata can look at the car and know it's been lowered. 1.75" isn't gonna be noticeable to people who don't know to look for it, but it will clean up the wheel gap, which is what gives the car away as being a 4x4

Re: suspension issues...
perosnally i hate my tokiko blues. the ride isnt great at all. though once i swapped out to h&r springs, it did help a bit. my suggestion is to get the koni red's. koni is an excellent company and the reds are great shocks for non-adjustable dampening. just my 2 cents
