auto shift knob

I have a 2001 z24 with the 4 speed auto tranny and i don't know if the 03 has the same stock shift knob but on mine there was a groove in the front of the knob (facing the front of the car). it took me a while to figure it out but there is U shaped pin that you have to pry out with a small flat head skrew driver or somthing. After that i think the whole knob slid off but im not sure. It was a while back when i replaced mine.I know there was not much to it after that. For my new shift knob i just went to advaced auto parts and picked one up. Not exactly sure which brand i think it may have been APC? but it fit on perfect and looks great.
