Re: Big post For A Newbie
If I had a choice, then I would take the cars in this order
Supra 240sx Mustang LX (as long as it was a 5.0.... if not then put it at the end of my list) GTI Firebird I wouldn't even consider the eclipse rs or the crx hf, both are pure shit.

I'd get the Supra, but it kinda depends what you want the car for, strip, cruising, auto-x, reliable, look nice, just a daily driver that you like to take to the strip or road course every once in a while... but I'd take the supra if you have the money, or the 240sx... but those are the only two I really like personally haha but it depends on what you want out of the car

Isn't the crx hf the base model which has like 60hp rather than the 80 or 90 the other models have? I guess if you want to mod it then it's the lightest trim available...but still...more work. Least you know it's probably been beat on a lot less since it has nearly the same power-to-weight ratio as the late model geo metros
.I'd probably say supra...though a foxbody or f-body would definitely be fun to drive with the v8 torque... All depends on what you want it for...cheap parts availability will definitely be in favor of the domestics along with them having lots of power...the only comparable car you listed is the supra...if we are talking both models being the most expensive trim package. The GTI is alright...good car, but I wouldn't want one. Too little styling I guess and not enough curves. 240sx and Supra are obviously the best looking and handling cars listed IMO...both have large parts support depending on what you plan on doing to them...but both are also the rarest cars you have listed so replacement parts will usually not be a junkyard elcheapo affair like it would be with an f-body. Hell, for the same price as that supra you could have a nice f-body and probably 2 donor cars from a junk yard... You make the call though...If I had enough to get a supra I would though. A lot more likely to get stolen though...an F-body can hide in the crowd when you want it to and can take on most unmodified or mildly-moded cars...just don't go taking on twin turbo imports and expecting you will win with an ecu chip and some bolt-ons.

Re: Big post For A Newbie
supra, best car stock and has a lot of moddable options. Of course though it'll cost a lot more. Firebirds r crap, my friend has a firebird and it has mad probs, (paid $1000 just for a 40k mi maintainance 200 point check from pat goss) and it still had serious probs.

I personally don't like mustangs or firebirds so my top two would be the Supra and then the 240
Good luck with your purchase

Re: Big post For A Newbie
this is kinda funny.
do you have one of each of these lined up already? or are you just going to go off the opinion of other people? what's your goal? what's your budget? where do you live at? you should really answer these questions before you go asking questions like "what should i buy"... |

Re: Big post For A Newbie
Supra, definitely. If you can afford it, then go for it.
How about one of these badboys? http://www.suprastore.com/kitrdwihks30.html http://www.suprastore.com/supow19blac6.html edit: Too bad the first one was already sold.

Re: Big post For A Newbie
If I had the Cash I would go for the Supra, however if you don't stick with the 240sx.

i would either go with the supra or the 240sx.....the 240 has alot of potential and it moderatly cheap.....parts are pretty easy to come by as well.....the supra, depends on what engine is in it if its a 2jz thats pretty gnarly and they are quick as hell and could be fast as shit if ur willing to spend alil money, well alot but u know
