Help me Out Please

I just bought my dream Park Avenue, a 1994 model! Although it is a low mileage model with owners manual included, I am trying to resolve several issues as follows:
1. The tire size info is not available. It has 15 in alloy rims, but I do not know the proper tire size for this car. Anybody know? There are two bare white plastic tags on the door, that I think contained this information until someone polished them off to bare white signs.
2. Paint color code. It is a dark metallic green, but I am unable to find a paint code tag anywhere on the car. Where did they put it?
3. Is is possible to obtain a "window sticker" type build spec sheet for this car? Would love to know what toys it has on it that I have yet to find.
4. Remotes: Both of the remote key ring "ears" are busted, it appears from EBay searching that weakness was corrected in later models How do I find out what other remotes will work on this car, or can I buy just the little plastic cover with the key ring ear on it?
5. On occasion it will sort of "burp" or lurch while driving peacefully at cruise speed, maybe every 200 miles or so, feels like the overdrive kicking in or out or something, but feeling a bit harsh for doing it as designed. Anybody experience that before?

2) might be the same color as mine, look at my pictures of mine: http://www.tman2093.netfirms.com/buickparkave.htm

Re: Re: Help me Out Please

Yep, sure looks like an identical color, hmmm, your wheels are differnet, wonder why that is.
It has four different tires on it, I am not interested in current size, just wanted to replace them with the RIGHT size.
The remotes that same with it (they say Buick on them) have an ear that makes a small loop to enable putting it onto a key ring. Probably from sitting on the remote while attached to a key ring, the loop or ear is broken off on one, cracked badly on the other.

Re: Help me Out Please

the color is called Dk. Green Gray, even though its blue in my eyes

My wheels are actually off of a Lesabre. these might be yours: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2448871385

I have a set of those, the tire size is 205/70R15

You can buy a new romote on ebay too, I paid 18 for mine. Just make sure the part numbers on the remotes match. The programmin procedure can be found here on AF.

Re: Help me Out Please

Don,
I have same car, same color. I confirm TMan's tire size (205/70R15) based on my doorjam sticker. I cannot find anything with the color name. There is supposed to be a Service Parts Identification Sticker with the color "under the rear deck lid or on the spare tire cover." I found a sticker on the spare tire cover but it does not show the paint color. No doubt your dealer can tell you, or I know that auto parts stores that sell touch-up paint have application guides that may help.

Finally, here is a 1994 Buick brochure on e-bay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2449884574
Maybe it would help with your color and spec sheet questions.

Re: Re: Help me Out Please

Thanks for the tips and help, I am on that EBay brochure too, and will go look in my trunk spare tire area, have not tried that space yet, definitely NOT on the trunk lid.

Re: Help me Out Please

Don,

Through a strange twist of fate, a copy of the 1994 Buick sales brochure came into my possession today. Our Buicks are "Polo Green Metallic."

The standard tires were P205/70R15 steel-belted, radial-ply, all-season blackwalls. Whitewalls available.

Re: Help me Out Please

TMan,

It's a tough call since you keep your car so shiny--it's kinda overloading my monitor--but I think you are "Dark Jadestone Metallic." It's the closest match to "Dark Green Gray," by appearance and description. The "Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic" is close, but it looks almost black with a touch of blue.

According to the brochure, the 1994 Park Avenues came in the following colors (color number in parens):

Bright White (16)
Champagne Beige Metallic (57)
Dark Jadestone Metallic (18)
Light Windsor Gray Metallic (14)
Black (41)
Polo Green Metallic (48)
Light Adriatic Blue Metallic (36)
Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic (39)
Adriatic Blue Metallic (30)
Ruby Red Metallic (72)
Dark Cherry Metallic (77)
Smokey Amethist Metallic (91)

(Ultras came in all of the above except #91, #36, and #72.)

Hope this helps. You and Don both have very sharp looking cars.

Re: Help me Out Please

my touchup paint bottle says Dark Green Gray, its a blue color, with a hint of green to me. My family says its green, but Its not as green as don's. Thanks so much on the compliments, I took those pics after I waxed her for the first time. I still need t find a name for her though...
