1991 Thunderbird problems

Hey all I'm new hear and have some problems with my 1991 Thunderbird. First of all, I have this water leak into my car on the passenger side right where their feet would go. Water drips down from under the dash right down onto the curved part of the firewall. I took it to a windshield dr. and had him test the windshield but he said that it wasn't leaking from that. But the water comes usually when it's been raining. To check his test I sat there with a friend in the car and ran water from a hose over the windshield for about 15 minutes with the same results. Any suggestions??

Second of all, my heater has started to act up. I have the temp set to 80 and running on high but even after a little while it is still running at a semi-cool temp. I mean after the car is warmed up the heater should only run like that for a couple of minutes before you turn it off cause you are too hot.

Any ideas with either of these? Any and all help is greatly accepted. Thanks

no, sometimes it smells sweet but from what i've heard, when you turn on the heater the windows should fog up with a film on them. none of this happens with mine.

Its your heatercore. It is located at the top of your dash.

Re: 1991 Thunderbird problems

i have the same problem get your lines blown through so that there is nothing blocking the lines for the heater core because i bought a brand new heater core and that wasn't the problem because it is a long job for the heater core so flush it out first and see what happens

Problem 1. I agree with the heater core theory, but pressure test it before you replace it.

Problem 2. Sounds like you're low on coolant.

Heater core, and it doesn't always leave the film on the glass.
