,01 rear glass defroster cnnection

Does anyone know what I can do to fix a rear defrost connection on the glass? My deler refused to fix what I think is a bad solder joint. The cioled cord connection to the glass just popped off! I didn't get hooked on anything and the pad seperated intact from the solder pad on the glass.They claim its not covered under extended warranty which is ot now anyway. I can't beleive the ony recourse is to replace the whole window!(950.00) :-(

There must be an adhesive which is an electrical conductor. Soldering sounds very tricky at this point with the thermal mass of the window to be involved.

I would also pursue complaining about the Dealer directly to GM and to NY Consumer Affairs.

a good glass shop should be able to fix that for ya, and shouldn't cost too much (im guessing here) i definitely would be having a long talk with the dealer, you may have to KINDLY talk the service manager. trust me, if you stay calm, but firm, its a lot easier to get your way. rememeber, the customer is always right ;-)
