Post Your First Time?

When was your first street racing adventure?
I was like 11 and me and my father where going down and empty bridge in his Supercharged 96 T-Bird, and suddenly these two redneck bastards fly by in some rustbucked pickup and gave my dad the finger, so he floored it and of course in a matter of seconds we where WAY ahed of them, it was too cool.
Im sure their are some great ones out their, so share on!

Re: Your First Time?

one day i took my bike that still had a training wheel on the right side and i was going to the 7-11 shop and i was waiting at the red man light. some one with those little motorized scooters came up and gave me a hard look so the light turned green and i raced him, it was so exciting! i didnt use the gears much so i was in the top gear, he had a little engine on it so he had the bottom end, i was one meter down, he was a foot or two away from me, i was pedaling like crazy, well not quite but it was hard to push the step things on a mountain bike twice my size. the cars waiting at the side were wizzing past us by the time we reached the divider at the middle, i had some momentum by now and was about a meter away from him, his engine could not go any faster so he used his legs, that bastard! he cheated! but then i turned my head to look forward and i hit a car. dumb car, i think it was a hyundai eceent or something, i got up with my bike between my legs and hopped away. by the time he had came out of his rust bucket i was on the other side. then my weewee started to hurt because my body flew forward but my bike hit the car, and the little bar that held the handlebar hit my weewee. i went in the shop and the girl there asked me are you ok, and i said ok and i cried

not done in a car, but you said street racing right

My first street race was 2 weeks ago against a v6 corsica. He thought he could take the teg because it has 2 less cylinders . Well it wasnt even close. My launch was good and I shut down at 120, i think he was about 30 car lenghts back .

Re: Your First Time?

well, my first time was with this girl, on her mom's waterbed... and... oh, wrong "first time"...

i don't have a real first street race, but i do have a lot of "fast driving occasions" on twisty roads worth talking about... togue style... chasing someone... but not lined up...

i know that at least a year into driving, i had an 85 jetta (modded, of course) and i was lined up next some cheeseball in a camaro at a light... so i took off on the light... he missed it, and i got him until he caught me around 30mph... but hey... i beat him to 30, right? i know that car wasn't fast, but i'm not a slow driver...

Re: Re: Your First Time?

Gee that would be back in '86 with a 1972 Corvette Stingray I had just purchased. It would have been a stop light race against a 68 Camaro SS which I lost due to my lack of real power at that time, and managed to get my self a speeding ticket in the process later that day lol.

Re: Your First Time?

In my Mustang vs. some dude in a lowered 90's S10. Don't know if it was modified, but it had a pretty paint job. He revved on me to start it off, I just finished the job. I beat him by quite a few carlengths, despite having one slow assed car.
