Warran issued for Irvine's arrest!

The story

Quote:
LONDON (AP) - Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of former Formula One driver Eddie Irvine for speeding on a scooter with no licence and no insurance, court officials said Thursday.

Police stopped the 38-year-old Irvine in London's Hyde Park on July 24 for allegedly driving over the 30 m.p.h. (48 km/h) speed limit. He was charged with speeding and failing to have a scooter licence and insurance.

Court officials said he failed to attend a hearing Wednesday at Bow Street Magistrates court, and a judge concluded the case against him had been proven and issued a warrant for his arrest.

I guess you guys have never been in Hyde Park then?
It's pretty damn crowded through the park so speeding becomes pretty dangerous, it doesn't matter who you are.
Why should Irvine be any different to anyone else?

He should not be threated any differently. Speeding, no license, no insurrance and not showing up. Darn right they did that.

I dont think you can actually drive a motor vehicle through Hyde Park... if the road he got caught on is the road i think it is - which i take every morning to work - it's adjacent to a wide open space of the park, perfect visibility and almost no pedestrians around, sometimes none, especially in weather this cold. Everyone speeds down that road.
