Locate the screws along the sides of the tail-lights- thru the "louvers". You have to pull the assembly out for lamp replacement. G/luck

More info, please

I need to replace my signal light. I have located & removed the screws in the louvers, but I still can't remove the tail light unit. What kills me is that I have done this once before, but now I can't remember how I did it!

Thanks for your help.

If I remember correctly.....

,,,you have to remove smaller screws that are attached to each section of light that needs to be replaced. Once the brake light assembly has been removed locate the smaller screws and remove them.

Yeah, that's the problem...I can't seem to remove the tail light assembly. Are there more than the two screws in the louvers?

yeah, there's 4 screws to remove. 2 outboard, 2 inboard next to tailgate.

Re: brake light

2001 Rodeo Sport

Remove the 2 philips screws in the louver area.

Use flatblade screwdriver to gently pry the top of the light assembly away from the car - won't come completely out yet.

Use flatblade screwdriver to gently lift the light assembly from the bottom. This will expose a phillips screw at the bottom the the light assembly.

Pull out light assembly.

Twist/pull out brake light holder

Push/twist bulb to remove.

Reverse above to reinstall.
