Question: Tips on storing decals?

After finding the decals to a '93 era Hasegawa kit cracked and yellowed, I'd like to store all my decals separately, in a ziploc bag, as I know some of you guys do. Should I put a piece of paper or something in between each sheet? Or is there anything else I should know about this? Thanks!

I store each set of decals in its own ziploc bag, I pretty much take them as they come in the kit and pop them in the ziploc to protect them from moisture and the like.

Well, I'm not an expert on decals.
That said, the decals degraded because of a reaction with other things in the kit, either the plastic kit parts, the tires, or even the box.
I'd think the easest thing to do would be to keep your decals in a photo album. look for one marked 'acid free'. keep the album away from where you build in a cool dry place.

I keep all my decals in a photo album. As soon as I get a new kit I take out the decals and put them in the album and label them. It's also usefull for all those left over decals you don't use. It's nice and easy to find something to do the job when you're doing a little customising etc.

I also put all the instruction sheets into albums so they don't get lost. I've got kits that might not get built for years but might get looked at once in a while so I like to make sure I don't take the instructions out and forget to put them back..next thing you know they're lost (well they can be in my room...it's jam packed with stuff everywhere )

I keep mine in a zliploc bag, and usually when the kit comes with a peice of wax/parchment paper over the sticky side of the decals i tape it over top of the decal sheet just to keep it from sticking to the others

I bought a three ring binder and then added some magazine style sleeves. I store the decals in their. So far so good. Don't get the cheap sleeves either.

Aww poo, I just finished stripping my Tamiya NSX-R when I remembered I needed to check the instructions for something, and there I found the decals all cracked and manky Time to buy a stock NSX and see what I can salvage.

I keep mines all side by side with the backs of each other touching the decals of the other sheets in a zip-lock bag, have been doing it for a while, and no problems to date. I'll have to try the photo-album thing if the zip-lock fails.
