Question Dodge Stealth???

I am very unfamiliar with Dodge Stealth's but yesterday I was about to exit when this yellow one cut me off big time and if I wasn't in a hurry to get to home I would have let him know I wasn't very happy with his antics. Anyway, in the case I see him again what should I expect, I got the 6spd accord, stock.

His car sounded good, nice some what deep growl, single exhaust, stock rims, and thats all I could notice. As far as I am concerned those things look like cheap 3000GT wanna be's...

Thanks in advance if you guys know anything about them.

Well i'll tell you what i know:

Dodge stealth is basically a 3000gt, more or less, its like dodge's release when it was DSM. Some are fast cuz some are turbos, others aren't depends... thats all i know hope it helps!

Re: Dodge Stealth???

yeah its exactly the 3000gt and the same rules apply if you are going to race either; MAKE DAMN SURE ITS NOT AWD AND BOOSTED.

Re: Dodge Stealth???

there was the 3.0L front drive NA Stealth and then the 3.0L turbo AWD Stealth RT... both are pretty quick but if you are dealing with an RT I don't think you will be able to run with him. the regular front drive NA Stealth you will have a pretty good shot at I would imagine, my friend used to have one and its pretty fast but he was taken down by a fullsize GMC truck so that says something

Single-exhaust = N/A

Accord 240HP 6spd = N/A Stealth ownag3.

Either way, he was a jackass.

Re: Dodge Stealth???

I thought the NA stealth came from the factory with 2 tips on one side? if it just had a single tip it must have had an aftermarket exhaust or something so it could still be either one...

Re: Re: Dodge Stealth???

Umm from what ive seen the dodge stealths come in a twin turbo package. The turbos are 13b's. 2 very small turbos. Last dsm meet a dodge stealth there was a twin turbo. Same engine as the 3000gt vr4. It was all stock. Can really upgrade the turbos inexpensively because the turbos are buried under the engine. They are somewhat fast stock, a good driver should take any stock honda. But the non turbo im not sure. Anyhow just some of my experiance with the stealth.

Re: Dodge Stealth???

ive got the 6 speed accord too, you shouldnt have a problem. Weve got pretty quick cars for stock, 0-60 5.9, you can hang with a lot, but theres always faster.

Re: Dodge Stealth???

hey dood, my gf raced (I was the passanger) a n/a stealth with i/h/e, plugs and wires against my COMPLETELY stock crx si with 255,000 miles on it and smoked it by literally 10 cars and kept pulling. It was the most worthless race I have ever seen. He's lucky he didn't run with my mr2 hehehehe

You should seriously SPANK this car man... so my opinion it isn't worth the wasted gas lol

you are full of shit.

Anyways, there are 3 versions of the Stealth.

3.0L SOHC NA - 164hp/185tq
3.0L DOHC NA - 222hp/201tq
3.0L DOHC TT - 320hp/315tq

a stocker SOHC stealth could get beat by the accord, but DEFINATLY not your stock crx si..

that's real nice hp numbers but you forgot the stealth is a balloted fucking pig car so yea figure the weight ratio in there also then you'll realize the crap you're throwing out is worthless.

or maybe he wasnt racing..

my brother has a 94 dodge shadow with a DETUNED 3.0L SOHC, same as the stealth. its only 140hp. It smokes the living shit out of CRX Si... even 90-91 which is 108hp. even with intake and exhaust (estimated 115hp).

I used to have a SOHC VTEC with I/H/E (15.5 1/4 mile) and I *barely* beat his car. add a little weight, and 20 more horsepower, and there is no way my you'd stand a chance.

Im sorry, just hate bullshit "race stories".

do you realize how far "5 carlengths" is? If you beat a car by "5 carlengths", then you serious smoked the living shit out of it. a Geo Metro, i could see getting beat by 5 carlengths. a Ford Festiva, possibly. A stealth? no way in hell. If you did beat him (which you didnt) then it would've been by a hair.
