Quicky fuse question - 91 stang headlights

Hi

Is the 91 GT's headlights 2 fuses at 20 amps each or 1 fuse at 30 amps or something else? From what I could glean from the user manual, the vehicle has the fuse is in the switch and you have to replace the whole switch - is that right??? - because it's not on the fuse board.

For those who are interested, I ask because I'm installing a 5000k 9004 HID Bohmen conversion kit and they say it's ideal to have a 2@20 amps or 1@30 amp fuse set up. (p.s. the kit looks very professioal, I got it Friday, it's not some hacked together ebay thing.)

It sounds as if they want you to install (1) 30 amp fuse on the headlight switch or (2) 20 amp fuses ( one on each + wire to each headlight). Are the installation instructions specific to the Mustang or are they a universal install?

it's a universal kit, and i didn't get fuses with it. I'd just like to know if a 91 gt has headlight fuses that can be pulled and replaced with ones that have a higher (if necessary) amp rating. The only reason they said one 30 amp or two 20 amps is because certain vehicles have one fuse for both lights and others have two, one for each.

Well, i got in there and took apart my headlamp/foglight switch and took it completely apart - so far apart that I drilled out a rivet. (and of course, whenever I do this kind of stuff I always chip some plastic but luckily it won't be noticed.) So.. there were no fuses in the switch, but something that looked to my untrained eye to be a circuit breaker that would seperate if things got too hot - not necessarily if the amps got too high. So.. I'm assuming this is what my 91 stang user manual meant when it said the "fuse" was in the switch and didn't say a thing about how to replace it or get at it.

I guess this mean's I'm good to go with the HID 20 or 30 amp fuse "needs" (that is of course if the breaker doesn't switch my lights off after 10 minutes) unless someone wants to throw up a red flag.

As nearly always, the swiss army knife and superglue proved handy yet again. (just when I start putting duck tape on the vert top and coloring it black with perm marker, then somebody stop me)
