Question Peugeot 405 Pikes Peak source pictures

Does anyone have any good pictures of this car from the rear or of the rear wing, because in some pictures, like the one below, it looks as though the rear wing end plates are attached to something at the bottom, perhaps a lower wing, but in other pictures and on the Rallysport Challenge computer game, it looks as though there is no lower wing, with the rear wing end plates only being attached at the top.

Re: Peugeot 405 Pikes Peak source pictures

You have to keep in mind there was more than one version of the hill climb car, the one in the image you posted does have a lower element to the wing.
Here is Ari Vatanen on Pikes Peak, his car doesn't seem have a lower element:

Check out this site, a lot of different photos of the car on the Pike Peak Challenge: http://www.rallyalbum.hu/climb.htm

Yes the 405 had 2 versions as peugeot did't win the first year, but (only) on the 2nd try.

Thanks for the replies guys, I didn't know there was more than one version. Do you know which version won?

As for that link, I already downloaded the video that those pictures link to and it shows the version without the lower element, so I'd still like some more detailed pictures of the version with the lower element if possible.

The other possibility would be to try and replicate the version without the lower element, but I'm not sure how I would make the end plates keep their curved shape.

The 2nd version won, the year ari vatanen finished the climb driving with one hand because of the sun blinding him ! (that always impressed me) I think it's the version in the video. I'll check it for you (as I live in france it may be easier for me to find out).

I have a lot of pics from the past 9 years of the Hill Climb(I love in Colorado Springs, right beneath the peak, basically). Question is, I gotta find the box of the pictures.

Thanks again, it definitely seems that the version without the lower element is the way to go because the other version appears to have a different rear bumper as well. It also means that I could use the Rallisport Challenge car as reference because I believe it is very accurate.

XspudX I would still like to see those Pikes Peak pics; there aren't nearly enough photos of the Pikes Peak cars about.

No prizes for guessing what model I would use as a base for this car and as for wheels and tyres, I was thinking of using the ones from the Repsol Escort Cosworth model because they look like the ones in the second picture below.
