Question LOTTO....Do you know anyone that has won anything ??

Well i'm not really a betting person, but every week i buy a $5 lucky dip hopeing i'll win a Million Dollors or even 2nd division that is about $5k.
I've been getting tickets nearly every week since it started about 12 years ago
So far this year all i have win is one lot of $20.00 and another about $32.00........and its the same for all the other years.

Now, even though there are first division winners every week, all I can say is that i have only known 2 people (that i kinda know) win first divison.

PMan is starting to think it's all crap

Well the odds aren't good but someone had to win. I was hoping to get the 19mil in the national lotto here but, alas I forgot to buy a ticket. I got drunk instead. Better return on investment if you ask me.

You have a better chance at getting hit by lightning twice then winning the Michigan Lottery.

Nope, I don't know anyone that's ever won big on the lotto. As with you Primera Man it's only ever been amounts like $20.

My math teacher in 8th grade won the lottery, I dunno how much, but it was a pretty good sum. And I was in a conveniant store with my friend, and he bought a $1 scratch ticket, and one $10,000 from it.

Talk about odds that suck!

As for me, I'm pretty much the same way. I play the powerball in Connecticut, which is a multistate lottery and NY Lotto. I play 5 bucks at each in hopes that I narrow down my odds at least one way or another. Hoping to one day hit the big one and call it a night.

But the odds of that happening are very slim. I hate it though how I see every friggin' week, somone hit it. But then again, they play like 100 bucks every week and shit.

Thumbs down no such luck

They recon that you are five times more likely to get hit by a truck than to win lotto....................Cant be true.''a friend of mine'' won first division!True!Really!Sadly as he crossed the road to collect his winnings he was run over by a convoy of five trucks.

I don't live near CT. I work by Greenwich. More like in Port Chester, NY which is just like 5 mins away from Greenwich.
